Most Daggers use similar attack moves. However, exceptions exist.

  • Normal attacks consist of a normal stab, followed by a finisher which consumes 1 stamina point but can interrupt enemies.
  • Charged attacks make your character dash forward and slash 4 times. This costs 1 stamina points.
  • Off-hand combo automatically dodges attacks with no stamina loss.
  • Striking enemies from behind deals critical damage.

Guide[ | ]

Daggers are close-range weapons that may seem hard to use at first. Their average base damage is relatively high, but the damage multipliers of their attack moves are very low. They have a short range and small area-of-effect, which makes them ill-suited for dealing with large groups.

However, they have much to offer to players willing to take the time to master their complex mechanics. Daggers deal Critical Hits whenever they hit an enemy in the back : this means that players with good positioning can greatly increase their damage output and benefit from critical damage-focused builds. In addition, their Combo Finishers stagger the enemy and only require one preliminary attack, allowing the Player to quickly chain combos and repeatedly incapacitate enemies. Finally, the Off-hand Combo automatically dodges attacks for the duration of the animation, which requires a good sense of timing.

In short, Daggers reward good positioning, timing and precision. They share a natural synergy with Claws, whose Charged Attacks allow the Player to strike in the enemy's back. Follow up with a Dagger Charged Attack for a deluge of Critical Hits.
