Headless Guardian

Headless Guardians are common enemies in the Jaguar Temple in Curse of the Dead Gods.
Headless Guardians are large warriors equipped with a hammer.

Basic versions can be found in tiers 1, 2, and 3 of the Temple. Elite versions can only be found in tier 3.

Appearance[ | ]

Headless Guardians are large warriors who appear to be scarred. They have bone shoulderguards that emit steam. They are headless and have a green, floating mask. They carry a large, bloodstained weapon.

Attacks[ | ]

Basic version[ | ]

  • First attack is a double spin with a large dash. He will mostly use this attack when the player is far away from him. Both spins can be parried and dodged.
  • Second attack is a triple heavy strike. First two can be parried or dodged, but the third one (hammer strike from top) can be dodged but not parried. This attack will mostly occur when the player is near him.

Both attacks can be used to crack open secret doors in the walls.

Elite version[ | ]

  • First attack is a double spin with a large dash. He will mostly use this attack when the player is far away from him. Both spins can be parried and dodged.
  • Second attack is a triple heavy strike. First two can be parried or dodged, but the third one (hammer strike from top) can be dodged but not parried. This attack will mostly occur when the player is near him.
  • Third attack is a swing of his hammer when turning around after hitting him in his back. This attack can be parried or dodged.

All attacks can be used to crack open secret doors in the walls.

To think I set out upon this expedition to catalogue artifacts and decipher ancient glyphs of the Chatac Civilization. If through some miracle I am able to dig myself out of these cursed corridors, to one day recount the full extent of my encounters, my peers shall bury me in derision.
