Maces are a type of melee weapon in Curse of the Dead Gods. They are categorized as a Main Weapon.

There are currently 7 different Maces in the game.

Fighting Style[ | ]

Most Maces use similar attack moves. However, some exceptions exist.

  • Normal attacks consist of 2 swings followed by finisher which slams the weapon in front of the Player, which deals increased damage and consumes 1 stamina point.
  • The charged attack is a spinning attack that lunges forward, dealing double damage, consuming 1 stamina point. It can be chained with normal attacks.

Maces are straightforward weapons : they hit hard, and that's pretty much it. Their average base damage is indeed higher than the other Main Weapons : in addition, their relatively short combo allows them to land their powerful Finisher pretty frequently. Their Charged Attack launches a spin attack that hits all surrounding enemies in a small zone, which is helpful when dealing with large enemy groups.

However, their lack of Critical Hits means they won't benefit from Critical Damage-focused items, which deprives them of a possible build path.
