Serpent Cultist

Serpent Cultists are common enemies that are encountered in the Serpent Catacombs in Curse of the Dead Gods.

Basic versions can be found in all tiers of the Catacombs, with elite versions being found in tiers 2 and 3.

Appearance[ | ]

Serpent Cultists are half-human, half-snake enemies. They wield a spear.

Attacks[ | ]

Basic version[ | ]

  • The cultist's first attack is a lunge followed by a spear thrust. The cultist will dodge back or to the sides to put the character in range, becoming invulnerable while doing this.
  • The cultist's second attack is a AoE spin move.

Both attacks can be parried or dodged.

Elite version[ | ]

  • Instead of a spear thrust, the cultist will throw the spear, similar to the Blood Hunter's ranged attacks. The cultist will dodge back or to the sides to put the character in range, becoming invulnerable while doing this.
  • The cultist's second attack is a AoE spin move.

Both attacks can be parried or dodged.

Journal entries[ | ]

I have fought so many of the fallen followers of Sich'al, and they seem more bitter than any of the lesser creatures here. Judging from their incessant moaning and my deciphering of the bloody Chatac inscription on the walls, it seems that they were promised the divine wisdom of their Gods of Wonder. This path, akin to that of alchemy, lead them to madness and empty defeat.

Omniscience is a treacherous power for mortal coils. Though we humans are capable of godly ambitions, we lack brains big enough to house it. Oh, what I would give to know far less of the mysteries that have been revealed to me in this cursed place.

"Sich'al and I could never find common ground. She knew everything. I knew nothing." - Confessions of Pablo Cordoba
